I study comparative cognition in carnivores, specifically the evolution of cognitive abilities, and the effects of social learning for captive welfare and conservation. I currently work in captive facilities around the country, but am open to expanding to field work! Click here to see more of what I do under the guidance of Dr. Jennifer Vonk at Oakland University!
I received my M.A. in Psychology: Animal Behavior & Conservation from The City University of New York's Hunter College. I conducted my M.A. Thesis on "Exploring Innovation and Behavioral Flexibility in African lions (Panthera leo) and snow leopards (Panthera uncia)" in 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Natalia Borrego, Dr. Martin Chodorow and Dr. Sheila Chase.
I graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2016 with a B.A. in Biological Foundations of Behavior: Animal Behavior degree. There I worked on two projects: A study on African lion personality and behavior with Dr. Blake Morton and a study on the effects of conservation eduction (Poaching and the Wildlife Trade) on grade school children with Dr. Sarah Dawson.
